Sterling Antique Auction

Every Tuesday night at 6:30PM,  John Powers conducts an auction of "stuff".  These are his words as there is a mish-mash of merchandise, some of which may be antiques, some may be household items and some may be just "stuff".  The auction is conducted at the First Church Hall located on the town green where the "Mary had a Little Lamb" statue is located.  You can read more on Wikipedia here.

It is also location right across the street from the "Old Town Hall", also on the town green.

The auction preview starts at 5:00 sharp.  There is usually a line outside waiting to get in.  We arrived right after the doors were opened and immediately started mingling and catching up with old friends and acquaintances while previewing the auction.   A lot of our auction friends were glad to see us again and some were wondering where we were for the last 6 months!  We explained our California adventures and experiences to them, then we had to take our seats for the auction to begin

We got our bidder number, grabbed a seat and watched the auction begin. You can watch a sample of the bidding from the auction below.

We bought two items and left early because there was nothing else that we wanted.  We are cleaning out the house after all!  It was nice to see old friends again!
